Join us any day from March 9th thru the 15th from 10:00AM to 4:00PM for a week of Spinning and Fiber enjoyment, with a great mini market in the "Wagon Shed."
Browse through a wonderful selection of our lusterous grease fleeces or have fun trying to make a choice from basket after basket of our artisan rovings and cloud batts featuring blends of silk, alpaca, luster wools, mohair, linen, hand painted rovings and silk tweeds. There is something for everyone from the funky to the Highland traditional.
Bring your wheel, sit by the fire and share your spinning skills with new firends and old, or join us in the carding house to design your own custom rovings.
I'll be teaching spinning "bulkies" and "thick & thins" and on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, we will be offering mini workshops on fine spinning and spinning cashmere down fibers with Marilyn Merbach (see resume).
There will also be a "Fiber Bar" letting you "taste" with your wheel, blends and spinning styles you may never have tried before.
Visitors need to call as soon as possible and let us know which days they'd like to join us so I can be prepared time wise. Some things like roving workshops and carding will only handle a limited number of people each day. I'd like to talk to you personally to share the ins and outs. The phone number is (724)286-9596.
So -- come up to the "ridge" spin away the end of winter with friends old and new, share a cup, a new technique, a new pattern, and welcome the joy of Spring!
Looking forward to seeing you, Harriet Knox
